Ted Williams (1918-2002) was an American baseball player who played his entire career for the Boston Red Sox in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was widely regarded as one of the greatest hitters in the history of the sport. Williams achieved remarkable statistics, including a lifetime batting average of .344 and 521 home runs. He won the MVP award twice, was a 17-time All-Star, and won the Triple Crown twice. Williams also served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He remains an iconic figure in baseball history.
